Printers – How can I print a document on a Multifunctional?

This manual explains how to send print jobs to the Multifunctional printers at the UU. These printers are either the Altalink C80xx (picture on the left) or the Xerox Versalink C405 (picture on the right).

There are four ways to print your documents at the UU:

  • Step  1 The upload portal
  • Step  4 Printing from locally installed printers
  • Step  9 Printing via email
  • Step 11 Printing via the app (similar to the upload portal)
  • We recommend using a locally installed printer, especially when printing PDF’s.

    “Resources required” notification

The pages of a PDF are not always A4 and will not be printed correctly when they are not scaled to A4. Using a locally installed printer is the only way to scale documents and print varying file sizes. All other methods will lead to a “resources required” notification.

  • The upload portal

  • Step 1

    • Go to www.uu.nl/myprintportal and log in using your Solis-id and password.
    • In the black side bar on the left, click “Upload job”
    • Click “Select files” to open an explorer window where you can choose the file you want to print

  • Step 2

Before you upload the file using the blue “Upload” button, you can choose the settings for the document. You can choose color or black/white, and single or double sided printing.

The standard setting is single-sided and color printing.

  • Step 3

After you have uploaded the file here, you can go to any Multifunctional, log in and print it out.

  • Printing from a locally installed printer

  • Step 5

When printing on a UU laptop or desktop these printers will be automatically available. All you need to do is select the one you want (UUColour for colour and UUBlack for black printing)

  • Step 6

To connect your own Windows device follow these steps:
