SURFdrive: Moving files between OneDrive and SURFdrive
Follow steps 1 to 4 to move files from OneDrive to SURFdrive. Follow steps 5 to 9 to move files from SURFdrive to OneDrive.

Manually move documents from OneDrive to SURFdrive online

Step 1
Log in to your SURFdrive web environment. Make sure you are also logged in to your OneDrive account on your laptop or computer.

Step 2
Click the + icon, and choose the Upload option.

Step 3
Then, from your OneDrive, select the document(s) you want to upload to your SURFdrive and click Open.

Step 4
The selected document is now visible in your SURFdrive environment.

- Don’t forget to delete your original document.
- You may use SURFdrive on a fair use basis. However, please note that Utrecht University pays extra licence fees for each SURFdrive account, regardless of the amount of data used.

Manually move documents from SURFdrive online to OneDrive

Step 5
Log in to your SURFdrive web environment. Make sure you are also logged in to your OneDrive account on your laptop or computer.

Step 6
Click the three dots next to the document you want to move to OneDrive, then click Download.

Step 7
The document will end up in your Downloads folder on the computer.

Step 8
From the Downloads folder, you can move the file directly to OneDrive.
Right-click on it, then select OneDrive, and click Move to OneDrive. -
Step 9
The selected document is now in your OneDrive.
